Patrick Hayakawa
Founder & CEO | Fastriver Solutions
Patrick Hayakawa is a sales strategist and growth advisor for high-performing teams who know what they’ve built—and are ready to scale it. As the founder of Fastriver Solutions, he helps B2B and tech-driven companies build pipeline and hit their sales goals with go-to-market strategies that are focused, repeatable, and built to win.
With 15+ years at the intersection of tech, business, and public service, Patrick brings a rare blend of startup grit, public-sector fluency, and sales leadership. He’s led growth efforts across industries—building standout sales teams, spearheading multimillion-dollar economic initiatives, and guiding national go-to-market for one of the fastest-scaling gov-tech platforms in the country.
Fastriver’s approach is currently being applied at national scale through its work with SolarAPP+, a D.O.E.-backed platform helping hundreds of cities streamline solar permitting. That engagement reflects what Fastriver does best: translate complex systems into scalable adoption and measurable impact.
What sets Patrick apart is how he thinks—and how he helps CEOs think. He believes the best sales strategies don’t start with pressure or. persuasion, but with clarity: knowing your customer, your unique value, and your next move.
He serves on advisory boards for Mid Penn Bank, Penn State Great Valley, and the United Way Social Innovation Lab, and was appointed to advisory roles for Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District and the Philadelphia Mayoral Transition Team.
The name “fastriver”
My great-grandfather, Ichiro Hayakawa, came to this country from Japan in 1900 with the dream of becoming a writer. He learned English, started a family, and built a business—but life, and two wars, kept that dream just out of reach.
His son—my grandfather—Samuel Hayakawa, carried that dream forward, becoming a professor of English, an author, and a widely respected voice on how language shapes human thought and connection. His most well-known book, Language in Thought and Action, has sold over a million copies and remains in print today.
Fastriver is grounded in the same belief: that meaningful change begins with listening closely, communicating clearly, and help others move forward with purpose.
In Japanese, “Hayakawa” means “fast river.” I chose that name to honor our family’s legacy and to help our team keep front-of-mind what we strive to do every day: to understand others and, in turn, help them be understood.
